TLDR: Soroboreans DLC is 110% worth it, it completes outward in my view. The recent dlc is mostly for your end game characters that are looking for a challenge. Having said that, there are some cool new features as well. I stopped playing outward because I wasn't having fun in the new dlc, and I really like outward. In my opinion the recent DLC, "three brothers" is alright but is incredible grindy and will test your patience (having to wait 4 in game weeks at least to complete some quests). If I could give you advice, get the soroboreans to complete outward. Theres a good story and the region is actually nice to explore with a train system. The story and faction quest line also have their own rewards that are good for any type of character. The two new skill trainers open up so many great build options for your characters, not to mention the enchanting system which can make even an iron sword into a fantastic weapon. The first DLC to come out "the soroborrans" is 100% worth every penny. I have both and have owned the game for a year.
